My grandfather kept a fair amount of documents which include: citations, passes, publications and miscellaneous items. I love the Paris Pass and wonder what he did in Paris for two days. Maybe as I read through his letters I’ll find out. The type on some of the other passes makes evident the use of those ancient pre word-processing machines: the typewriter. Hard to believe those were “official” passes. The Squad Squawk which appears to be a humorous, almost satiric paper for the Company is one of my favorites. Where you would normally put “Volume 1″ the writers put: “Volume: Plenty Loud.”
