Dear Father:-

Your letter of April 4th recieved yesterday and the one your wrote Feb 21st I just recieved a few days ago. I think I have gotten all the letters you have written me. I suppose you are reading quite a lot about the war. Things are rather quiet here lately. This part of the country is very pretty. The trees are all leaved out and the grass is nearly a foot high. I understand that the Government dosnot issue a policy for the insurance but I think it will be all right as they notified our office that my application had been recieved and the $6.60 has been deducted from my pay each month. Have you recieved the Stars and Stripes? I subscribed to have it sent to you some time ago. It is published by the A.E.F. and is a good paper.

Did you buy any Liberty Bonds? Well I will have to write to Mae so will close this leaves us both well from your Son
