Ambulance Company No. 1, 2nd Division, letterheadDear Father:-

I recieved your letter of Feb 20th last week, but I was on K.P. all week so didn’t get a chance to answer. I just got a letter from Joe[cousin] to-day that was written on the 23rd stating that he expected to sail for America the(26th today). So I expect you will probably see him by the middle of May. I wrote you some time ago about him going to the Hospital with a bum foot. About the post Card views you spoke about me getting for you. It would be a hard proposition as in Germany as well as France there are so many different towns with the same name. But if you could find out what particular part of Germany these towns are in I might be able to get the views all right.

The rainy season has set in here and it has been raining and snowing for the last few days. However it is a much better Climate than where we were in France a year ago.

I had a letter from Maggie a few days ago was written March 1st it came across in 19 days. There are not much to write about since I last wrote you this leaves me in the best of Health but(slightly Homesick) with love to all your son
